About Rollex

Quality from day one. Rollex came on the scene in the early 1950's - as a manufacturer and distributor of aluminum and metal moldings for the kitchen, bath and siding industries. The original team was just 13 people. Turned out a lucky number.

We 'roll' it and we 'ex' it. The company's core expertise was roll forming and extruding metals. Put them together and you get the name "Rollex". (We spell it with two "l" and, no, we don't make timepieces.)

The boom in the 'burbs'. People were on the move in late 50s. Subdivisions springing up everywhere. A type of home called a "ranch house" became as popular as the barbecue grill. That's when a lot of homeowners discovered the advantages of siding products.

Pre-finished soffit system. From Rollex. In 1959, Rollex introduced the first modular pre-finished soffit system. The Rollex "V-Alum" system was protected with vinyl paint and beveled at the edges. It accommodated a variety of sizes of overhangs.

No on-site cutting. Rollex followed with another innovation - the Mark II System. It's a pre-cut soffit panel that's perfect for new construction work. It fits any soffit opening without job-site cutting. Fast, simple, wam, bam. Mark II is still a member of the Rollex family of products.

Choice and flexibility. Remodeling an exterior demands flexibility - no two jobs are the same. That's why Rollex created the Rollex System 3 Soffit in 1969. Its panels are designed to fit various soffit depths or openings. Today, the System 3 Soffit is a big player in new construction too. That's no surprise when you consider it's available in solid and vented panels, and in 24 handsome colors. System 3 is Rollex's best selling soffit system, proudly standing guard over millions of homes.

Rollex means soffit and siding. In the '80s, Rollex extended its expertise into siding. Its highly successful aluminum line was soon followed with steel. Today, no one offers a more attractive selection in pre-finished soffit, siding and accessories.

Real home-made goodness. There's only one company we trust to make Rollex products - Rollex. Our products are fabricated and warehoused at four facilities in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
